Ivy Tech Spring 2011 Applicants

Published

Hey, just seeing who's on here that will be applying with me. I'm applying to Muncie, Kokomo, and Ft. Wayne. I feel like this is all I think about already. I'm retaking a couple of pre reqs this summer to improve my score. I've already taken the teas but will probably retake it as I only received an 83. I've also attended all the nursing info sessions. What is everybody else doing to prepare? I'm so paranoid about forgetting something! I'm looking forward to talking with people in the same boat. Or if anyone who has already applied wants to share advice, I'd gladly listen!

That is so frustrating! When I called yesterday, they said not Thursday, but Friday. I wish they would get things straight, it's nerveracking! Did they say what the delay was? And did he talk to the guy or a counselor?

I called yesterday too and they told me the same thing as they told you. Then they told my DH something different this morning. He talked to that Bob guy. Tomorrow I get out of class at 2:45 so I am going to call on my way home. Maybe they will say they are in the mail. I'll post when I get home.

I got my letter from Madison today. I got accepted with a 200. :yelclap: It's like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I truly hope each and every one of you get accepted. What a stressful experience that was. Good luck you guys.

:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

Congrats! All that hard work is starting to pay off!

I called Lafayette today and she said two more weeks!! :bluecry1:

Wouldn't tell me the cutoff scores, either.

This is a huge life change for me, and it'd be nice to know if I'm going to be looking for childcare, transportation, etc. with more than two months' notice.

They really know how to drive us insane! Wow!!! So much to do, but I would like to get in first:) Good luck everyone..stay positive! The pressure and stress should be lifted very soon! :uhoh3:

When I called last week she said she'll try to have them out by Friday, for LPN and RN...I didn't ask about transition though! You can always call and ask and then post so I don't feel like such a stalker and have to disguise my voice!! haha:lol2:

I just spoke with the Lawrence campus about letters for the Transition Program for this Spring 2011, she said they would take an extra week to send out!!! What kind of junk is that!!! I am super nervous now!!!

Good luck to all of you who are waiting on LPN and Traditional RN Programs, wish you all the best!

Has anybody heard any thing from Muncie campus? I'm very impatient, I heard not as many people applied in the spring, but it seems like there has been a lot! Thanks and good luck to everyone! :)

I'm waiting on muncie as well but haven't heard anything. If I don't get a letter tomorrow, I might call and ask when they're going to send them. When you said you've heard less people applied, do you specifically mean this time or spring in general?

I heard a couple people talking in class about a low number of people applied with low scores. How true that is I'm not sure! However, I'm hoping this is true because my score is not very high! I'm not confident after looking at this message board!:(

Oh please I think I have the lowest score here! Lol. My 2 As and 2 Bs only got me a 183 but I applied anyway just in case, but I'm not expecting to get in this time. How did those ppl get their info? I hope its true!!

In my information session I had at the marion campus, they told us that usually for the lpn they have accepted scores in the 150's for spring semester. However, this is due to low applicants and low scores apply. I know last year they had an insane amount of people apply, so that worries me! Hopefully most people are waiting until fall to apply. I think you have a good chance of getting into the program.

Wow that's awesome! It makes me feel a little more encouraged! I hadn't heard of scores that low being accepted even for lpn. I went to a marion meeting too but it was before april 1 so they were talking about fall scores. I live like 10 min from the marion campus. If we get iin, we should carpool! Lol. Only a few more days hopefully!

Does anybody know cut-off scores for transition programs (I applied to Lawrence)?
