Ivy Tech 2012 Spring Applicants for ASN Program

U.S.A. Indiana

I wanted to get a thread going for those of us who have applied to the ASN program at Ivy Tech for the Spring 2012 semester. Where all did you apply to? Hopefully we can keep in conversation and update everyone on our status' i.e. whether we've heard any news.

I applied to Kokomo, Terre Haute, Indianapolis and Bloomington campuses. I originally applied in the fall but didn't make the cutoff. I made it into the LPN program, but that's not the route that I wanted to go. I can only hope that I make it into the program this spring. Sounds like we should hear something around September 30th. Keeing my fingers crossed!

I applied to Ivy Tech Muncie/Anderson. I have all A's and one B in psych, and a 76 on my Teas. That should put me at a 161, not great but we will see if its enough!! Good luck!

Good luck getting in! My BFF will try for that program after she does a few more pre reqs :)

I applied to the Lawrence ASN/PN programs and to the Columbus PN program. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get accepted to one of them -- preferably Lawrence ASN. Good luck everyone!!!

I've gotten all A's in my prereq's, and a B in Math 136. I only got a 65 on my TEAS which puts me around 155......really stinks but we'll see. Sad thing is, I'm stuck with my TEAS score until 2/2013 since you can only take it twice in a two year timeframe.

I have applied to the Fort Wayne campus. I have A's in my prereqs and Math 136 (not that it counts for our points) and an 82 on my teas. So my point total is 172.

Now we wait until the end of the month to know what our future holds, right? :)

I applied to Gary and Valpo ASN & LPN - really hoping for ASN. I had 89.3 on my TEAS and As in Engl and A&P, but got a C in Psych when I first started college a long time ago...so I applied with a 169.3. If I don't make it for spring, I'll retake Psych for an A and reapply for fall 2012, but I really want to start this January!

Good luck to all my fellow applicants!

*I'm thinking about going ahead to my old family doctor next week to see about getting my vaccination records just to get a head start on gathering information in the case that I do make it in to the program. Has anyone else gotten their old shot records yet?

I've already tried to get my vaccination records. My pediatrician passed away years ago and Marion County doesn't have a copy of my immunizations. Therefore, I either have to pay the money for a titer ($$$) or have all the shots given to me again ($$$). Either way, I'm looking at a fortune, no matter what route I go. I thought about the health department, but they no longer offer free or low cost shots to adults.

Go to your county to get the shots done, they are not expensive at all, really cheap actually! I just had to be a TB test done for some meds I'm gonna be taking and that was only $10, I heard the vaccinations are all around that price too, but call to make sure, and call to make an appt :)
