Ivy tech RN program applications

Published

Hello everyone, I am 2 weeks away from finishing my ENG 111 class. It looks as though I wil have an A if I keep up my hard work. I also have A's in A&P101 and Psch. I am hoping to do well on my teas test so that I have a strong application to submit. I've been using the study guide since I found it online for $12. I guess I'm just nervous, but I was hoping to see if anyone else had some info on how the teas test is scored into you application.

Hi there. What campus are you applying to? I am applying to the Kokomo campus for the ASN Spring 2017 Program with a score of 131 points.

I am applying to the Lawrence campus. My advisor feels very confident in my score so I am hoping for the best. The lack of anatomy and physiology questions was something my advisor and I discussed today haha. It is odd that they offer a nursing based test and then hardly give any anatomy questions.

I'm applying for the Lawrence campus as well. My score is 143.2, I'm really hoping that it is high enough to get in. I hate that there is no set score that you have to be above in order to get in. It all depends on how strong the other candidates are. I have a B in Psychology that I transferred in and I'm wondering if I should retake it in case I don't get in the spring 2017 program. If I wait to see if I got in it will be too late because classes start in August and I won't find out if I got into the program until the end of September.

I had a C in psychology and my advisor suggested I study and take the CLEP test for psychology. As long as you pass, it will count as an A. I bought the manual, studied for a few weeks and took the test. Easier than I thought it would be, and it had been 15 years since eIther took psychology.

You could just take the class again this fall that way if you don't get in you will have the new A for your next application. I know it sucks to spend money on the class again, but it would make you a stronger candidate. I think you should feel confident. I know someone who who is about to start the program this fall. They had a score of 132. This was at a different campus (Columbus). I am not sure if the difficulty level for entry varies much between campuses but still.

Well everyone, I have applied. The application was super easy. I am hoping to get in, but I was told the spring class is harder to get into because fewer campuses offer a spring rn program so there are more applicants applying to fewer schools. I wish everyone luck.

Im applying to the crowne points location but have yet to take the teas! i know cutting it lose but i want to get another 10 days of studying in! i have been studying from the book now for a couple of weeks and feel pretty good but am still super nervous!

It took 4 days for my scores to upload to my application. So keep that in mind. Do not be nervous. The test was so much easier than I expected. The study guide from ati is a very good representation of what is on the test. If you think you know the study guide, take the test. It will be fine. I wish you luck on your test!

I was warned not to put off my test test until the last minute because if there was a problem with your score showing up on time you would not be able to apply. My score showed up the morning after the test. I have still not been able to apply because my GPA will not show up on the application. I didn't take any classes at Ivy Tech and transfer courses do not generate a GPA on the application. The school has been working on the problem for the past two weeks, but still have not fixed the issue.

I'm sorry to hear that dawn. I hope the issue gets resolved. I was also told something similar about waiting too close to the deadline for taking the test. As long as people study for it, they will not see anything on the test that the book does not cover.

The deadline is drawing near! Who has applied thus far? Care to share scores? Also, since applications are electronic now, will this shorten the wait time for acceptance letters?

I applied a couple of weeks ago and am LOSING MY MIND waiting. Even though the deadline hasnt even came yet I still check my email everyday just IN CASE something is missing from my application.

I applied to Bloomington both ASN and PN and to Terre Haute although I don't think that I would attend that campus I just wanted a back up

I had an A in APHY101 and have completed APHY 102

A in PSCH and B in Engl. Done all pre reqs and all co reqs but one

76 on my teas :(

Hoping my TEAS score isnt what kills me

Think I ended up with 132 points overall so we will see ...I'm trying to stay positive

I do think we will find out sooner. I know at the info session they did say we should find out via email rather than mail since its all online now. So we should at least expect to see time cut down for letters to be generated and mailed

I also think in general it will take less time since the computer essesntially calculates our points..but since this is the first time its online who knows. If I could find out like second week of Sept that would be GREAT

Like I said IM LOSING MY MIND...all I think about.. all day lol

I spoke with the program chair lady and she said that they are hoping to get acceptance emails out by mid September. If not she said late September.

As for you score, my wife's friend got into the Columbus ASN with a 132 so it is possible. I know the strength of the candidate's changes each semester though. Good luck to you!
