I'm at the Bloomington campus. For the semester where you have Complex Med Surg + clinical, it's class one day, clinical for 12 hours another day.
For the semester with Complex Family + clinical, and Psych + clinical, it's 1 day with both lectures, 1 day of Complex family clinical, 2 days a week of Psych clinical (partial days) and even then, I've heard that you won't have Psych clinical every week.
Hello! I graduated from Ivy Tech (indy) ASN program, the first year was the busiest. I think we were in school for 4 days the first 8 weeks, and then 3 the last 8 weeks....the second semester was extremely difficult, I think it was 3 days a week, but the paperwork and studying took me the rest of the 4 days of the week! There were nights I didn't sleep because I'd be afraid I'd oversleep (as I was extremely sleep deprived!!!) or that I didn't study enough!...the last year was a piece of cake! Psychiatrics required the least amount of my time...I think it was 2 days a week, (1 lecture, 1 clinical).

I'm hoping to be accepted to the LPN to ASN mobility program at Ivy Tech. So basically I'll take a course that covers the role of the RN and in-depth assessment skills, then I'll be thrown in with the regular RN students for the last year (two semesters).
Each of the last two semesters will be 7 credits. The program director said that the last two semesters are five days per week. How can that be? When I did the LPN program at Ivy Tech, I went 5 days/week, but I took 14 credits per semester. I now have all my general ed coreqs done, so I should only have the actual nursing courses.
Any 2nd year Ivy Tech students out there able to clarify this for me? What are your schedules?
Thanks!!
