As some may already know, I was in a car accident (damn all drunk drivers) and was laid up for a while. I've already lost 3 months and need to get a move on with my RN studies, since I'll be out of work on Medical Leave for the rest of the year. I have no excuse not to finish.
Please tell me what are the "major" books needed for Excelsior. The only book I know that is absolutely necessary is the FON by Kosier. Please tell me the others so I can purchase or rent them. I know I've read somewhere that all of these books are not necessary and I believe someone just purchased 3 books and finished the program. Thanks.

Actually, I never used the FON. Buy the Brunner and Suddarth Medical-Surgical Nursing, the peds, woman/child, and pharm. Get them on www.half.com or www.amazon.com. You can be an edition behind.
And I'm glad you're mending!

I'm partial to the Brunner & Suddarth myself. The Wong Peds book is great. You can use both to compare & contrast the differences in Adult & Peds care with certain conditions- that helps a lot.
