I've always wanted to work on the OB ward..

Sorry if I did this wrong I'm new here but,I have a question.Once I get my l license to be a LPN can I work on a Ob ward or do I have to be an RN?If I can work on the OB ward what type of thing can the LPN actually do?If I did this wrong please tell me that too please thanks.

I think maternity is one of the most popular floors on the hospital. Our hospital does have LPN on the floor but they have been there for a long time. I think they hire RN's because they can if they ever had a problem filling the position they would hire a LPN
