As a rehab nurse, I don't get to start too many IVs or draw blood, and sometimes I feel like my skills have eroded. I take a lot of pride in them and want to keep them up to snuff.
Anyone have suggestions -- i.e. volunteer work, classes -- that would help in this scenario?
FYI, I'm in the Chicago area.
Thanks!

How about volunteering at a blood donation center every week or two?

If your rehab center is associated with a hospital, you might be able to spend a day at an ambulatory infusion clinic or in a day surgery department. Both tend to do many IV's per day. Get friendly with the right people. :-)
Thanks to you all! Great suggestions. :wink2:
