IV certification transfer from CA to NV?

Published

Hi everyone, I am new to allnurses.com. SO I hope I am using this appropriatly. I was hoping someone on here could help answer a question for me. I am 4 weeks away from graduating from and LVN program in California, and I will be moving to Las Vegas, NV shortly after taking my boards. I have the option to take an IV cert class here with all of my class mates, but have been informed that it may not transfer to NV. I have tried to navigate the board of nursing website and was unable to find the answer to this question...(Maybe I overlooked it?) Also I have tried to call and ask, and I haven't been able to speak with anyone. Does anyone know about this?

Thank you for your time!

I would say take the IV Cert when you have the chance. It is always best to get it done when the training is being offered. Congrats on your LVN. What school did you go to?

Absolutely take the certification for IV's. It probably won't transfer as this is state based/school based course and not like the National certification av ailable to RN's. BUt....ANY TIME you can have a marketable skill that gives you a better edge against the compitition TAKE IT!!!!! It shows you are smart and take iniciative!!!

Good Luck!!!!
