I am browsing at the job listings for RNs and some of them require IV certification. I'm wondering where I could get it in Calgary. I'd appreciate any info about this.
We did ours as part of our unit orientation. I think most surgical units will do this. If you're looking at specialist areas then they will expect you to have done it already where your previous job was.
Try distance education through Grant Macewan university in Edmonton.(Initiation of Intravenous Therapy) Some of the places will provide on the job training, depends on the unit, clinic ect.
