I have read a lot of negative comments about IUON but they were a while ago when the college first started. Please someone who is currently attending IUON give me some feedback that I might be able to handle. I was super excited to go to this school and was ready to hit the books and really learn....now Im kinda upset about all the feedback. I know that you cant take peoples opinions that seriously because it is their own, but I still want to know if it has improved. Thanks!!!!!!!
I don't think IUON have made any improvement, I have heard from students here in California that they are the worst school to attend. They really need to work on their faculties and administration. Most students that are graduated from there are incompetent. It is not worth going there to study I heard so I wouldn't waste my money is I were you. It's better spending your money here then paying the large sum to a bunch of incompetent instructor.
I have friends in California who are licensed and practing and very competent. For those that are interested, you could probably go on the IUON alumni page and speak direclty to alumni. Clearly this person has a bone to pick. Our pass rate on the NCLEX is over 90% which is higher than the national average. If we were so incompetant how could our alum achieve such a great result. As far as the faculty go, most have taught and practiced in the United States. In fact, the faculty are listed on the IUON website with their credentials.
Alright, so IUON is a bad joke. They are actually paying students money to say good things about the school on this site and on facebook. Don't believe any of this. If you really want to mess up your life by going to a non-accredited school they may or may not have a transfer school for you and accrue a lot of debt in the meantime maybe this would be a good decision for you.
I am not aware of any student being paid to comment on this site. And as far as partner schools go, of my classmates, everyone has been placed for the next two semesters.
IUON is definitely getting worse. There are now 3 teachers with a real US nursing license. The rest of the teachers are St. Kitts natives. Much like the healthcare system in which they used to work, they are inept, racist and sexist. In the states the gov. would have shut IUON down.
This is not true. I would urge everyone to go on the IUON site and review the faculty and their credentials. Most of the faculty are from the United States. These statements are so rediculus, I cant even comment on them.
Hi IUON student, I am attending in September. Since you are already there I guess I have a few questions I would PM you but I don't have that option yet. What did you do about a cell phone or telephone? What school will you be attending in the states? I am a study abroad student going through Morehead state University. I guess everything is happening and its very scary and exciting all at the same time. Do you have any recommendations on which area to live in? What kind of things should I bring that are way overpriced in St kitts, but reasonable in the US? Thanks for your help!

You can get a cell phone within the first week your on campus. Either Morehead or Colorado State. I would suggest living in Frigate Bay. The Royal St. Kitts is where alot of students live. Theres transportation to and from campus, and its filled with students from several schools.
IUON is one of the worst schools I have ever applied to and I really regret the decision of spending my years down here. The time I have been down here - this institution has lost 1-2 teachers every semester (mental health, foundation of nursing, nutrition to name a FEW), lost two deans, lost its Citibank LOANS (seriously), and drum roll pleaseeeee ::::: lost a few US partner schools from PR, KY, Purdue to name a few. Yes, if you love the idea of fluttering your money into a nonworking system by all means aim high. As someone has mention about students being paid to write great things about this school is unheard of. However current students and recent grads have posted negatives or vented out about their transcripts (I've been waiting a yr for my transcript and still haven't received it) have been erased by the admin. Honestly it is your decision, that gut feeling, but stride with persistence and luck. Up to date news : even if the school gives you their own personal loan, it isn't enough to cover both tuition and living expenses.

hahahaha that was exactly what most students think especially those that had been there. I have a friend doing her last semester there now is fed up with how the school is treating them. Partner school are thinking they have all the training that are required for transfer but that's not the truth. Students are falling behind but guess how IUON thinks the students are incompetent. New Yor is telling the truth, no instructors, no desire to help, no knowledge, no standards, no skills, no transcripts, no degree but ultimate goal that IUON strive for is to make sure you pay your bills. Complex situation how are the students there now expect to continue this profession once they are in the states. But here is the answer from New York no concerned but just find another way to pay your loan.
