Hi guys. ITT recently started an ADN program in Orland Park, Illinois, about 40 minutes from Chicago. I have attended the info session, taken the HESI (which was not bad, I scored an 88) and just today met with financial aid to go over tuition and such. I am just wondering if there is anyone out there who is currently in ITT's Orland Park program. According to the nursing director there, I have a very good chance of getting into the program to start this June because of my HESI score, and just wanted to know how current students like or dislike the program thus far?
I have to say I never thought I would ever apply to a technical college but since I have applied to over 5 other colleges (community and universities) and have not gotten in this is a blessing!Yes, tuition is higher then a CC would be, but at this point I am willing to pay higher prices to get in right away.
Also, everyone keeps saying your credits dont transfer and such. Once you have passed your state boards and have an RN license you can pretty much apply to most, not all, but most RN to BSN programs. The only credit that may not transfer are your basic Gen Eds, like english, math, psych....I wont have that problem because all of my Gen Eds were completed at my CC. But for those of you who are starting at ITT from scratch might run into this issue if you plan to go further in your education.
Again, Anyone who is currently a ITT Orland Park, IL student any isight would be great!!! Thanks!

When did you start? I was supposed to go to an info session but wasn't able to and never got to reschedule it. Is financial aid able to cover all where you don't have to pay out of pocket?
I havent started yet. I applied. They are sending admission letters May 16th. And would start June 13th. However, the admissions advisor told me I have a great chance of getting in because of my HESI score. I did meet with fin aid, we only went over the first years coverage and pretty much all the tuition was covered except like $2000. But I have 11 courses transferring in, so I only need so much. The only thing I dont like about the program is that its not accreditated but it cant be until the first class graduates. I plan on going to get my BSN so that worries me a bit. But at this point I really just want to get in!!!! You should def go to a meeting and apply. Let me know if you end up applying.
May I ask what courses you transferred in? Do you know the pre-reqs or anything? I will give them a call later this week. I just got back in town.
I transferred in:
A&P I
A&P II
Microbiology
Chemistry
English I
English II
Speech
General Psych
Developmental Psych
Ethics
Humanities
They have 12 pre-reqs that are take at the same time as the nursing course. So they dont require you to have any class done before you actually start. The only class is didnt transfer in in college math. I would go to an info session if your interested cause that the only way to get all the info. Good Luck. Let me know if you apply!

have you heard anything in the past 2 weeks about finalizing the acceptances? I've been anxiously awaiting and it's almost a few weeks until class actually starts!
Hey. I got a call 3 weeks ago saying they will be letting accepted students know soon. And today I got a letter in the mail with my transfer classes that were accepted. And also got a call today from financial aid. But other then that, nothing. I actually accepted a spot elsewhere so I'm not going to ITT. Good luck to you!!! Hope youget in and find out soon!! Cause that's insane classes start in like 2 weeks!!
You would "assume" that if they would accept your transfer classes and have financial aid call you that that would mean accepted..ya know?!!
