ITT Canton March 2014

U.S.A. Michigan

I am hoping there are current students in the program that will respond and others that are awaiting being ranked for the March 2014 start date.

I was accepted for the Sept. 2013 start date, but did not start due to scheduling issues at work. But am now being re-ranked for the March 2014 start date. I was told that the official ranking will be done at the end of Jauary.

So...I have looked at other posts about Breckinridge and do not see any current posting about life in the program. Give us some insight please. ;)

The entire program without transferring in any prereqs is about $52,000. I was looking at about $25,000 (w/o adding pell grants) after transferring in ENG, SOC, PSY, Math etc... I decided against attending after not being able to be notified about class times/days within a month's notice. But to all whom have flexible schedules, I would say its worth it (if you have most of your pre-reqs done).

I do not know about private lenders that they work with.

Hey shan409 what are you going to do about a nursing program?

I do not like the way conservations went with a few of the personnel there. I am still researching a few things, but it looks like I will be starting HFCC's respiratory therapy program next fall.

Oh ok well good luck in whatever you decide to do...............I took my NCLEX and Im glad that is over.

Hey Nikki, just to fill my All Nurses homies in on my progress....I have been accepted to and am starting Davenport's LPN program in the Fall (2014)! :nurse:I am super excited after waiting so long to find the perfect program for me and at the right time. I am looking to continue at either HFCC or Schoolcraft for their LPN-RN program.

What are the preqs? And why didn't you like the school? I received a call earlier today to begin my admission process.

I decided not to attend for a few reasons.

You are not noticed of your specific schedule until about 2-4 weeks before class starts. For students that are employed (especially in hospitals, most schedule changes need at least a four week notice).

They are not seeking accreditation (CCNE/NLNAC) and the only college that we could transfer to (here in MI) w/o having to take classes over again would be Siena Heights.

For it to be an RN and not an LPN program, you would expect most classes to be tranferrable. But ITT is a private-for-profit.

It just wasn't right for me. I have been in the healthcare field for almost 10 years, almost 30 years old, and starting all over after completing an RN program just wasn't an option I was willing to settle for.

I am now starting an LPN (which is not what I wanted) at Davenport, but will have the option to apply for their BSN program or go to an LPN-to-RN program that is CCNE accredited. And they offer a tuition discount for many employers here in MI.
