It's So Hard to Look for a Local Job!!!!

I recently passed the nclex. I'm so thankful to allnurses, the information here helped me a lot to pass it. Since I reviewed and concentrated on the exam, I resigned from my teaching job. Now it's so hard to look for a job opening for staff nurses here. Even trainings are no longer available. I need to earn and save for IELTS. I'm so tempted to apply at a call center company. Any suggestions? I've been to every hospital that I know (UST, St. Lukes, Chinese, UDMC, Amang, Marikina Valley, Heart center, NKTI, Lung center, V. Luna, PGH) I live in fairview qc. There are offers for volunteer nurse at south superhighway medical center in paranaque but I can't afford to work there!!!! No salary, and its too far...Its so depressing. :madface::banghead:

the St. luke's medical center is hiring right now.in fact I just got hired.I finished my medical exams.i heard that the first day of training will be on Aug 14 for the first batch.we will be assigned at The Fort Global City Taguig.Goodluck!!

i passed it 1st week of july through their email and after a week i received a txt for my initial interview.then a week after technical then a week after that panel.Goodluck to you!! they're continously hiring right now because they need a lot of staff for the branch at the fort.

i just got a call from st. lukes for an interview after i passed my application and resume last july 21. i want to know what will the interview be about? is it with the HR dept or with someone from the nsg service? how will i prepare for the interview?

Arrgh. it really is so hard to look for a job..and I'm quite depressed right now because I have a friend and we both applied to St lukes hospital and she was called for an interview whereas here I am still waiting for the call and the text message.. sigh.. there's an opening for St luke's hospital in The Fort Bonifacio and it will be operational in October 2009..training will be in SLMC QC.. that's what I heard..sigh I hope I get interviewed too (I scored higher than her in NLE lol)

what happened to your friend's interview? what did they ask her? was her interview with someone from the HR or someone from the nsg service dept?

I got interviewed already yipee!:yeah: still I'm waiting for the technical interview..I was advised by the HR to lose weight..aargh was that for real? anyways..I'm hoping I get a call from them:cry:..and by the way my friend is also waiting to be called in for the technical interview..:nurse:

heard from St. Luke's yet? I also send my resume July 28 (walk in)and I am worried too! hope get a call this week.

any way I talked to someone at SLMC when I submit my resume that it took a month for her to receive a text message. so hopefully you receive a good news as well. goodluck to us!!!

hello xovliv. just go to st. lukes medical center at e rodriguez qc. it's just a jeepney ride from aurora blvd (if you're commuting). go to the cathedral bldg. it's the same bldg where they have their PET scan (i think). facing st. lukes, it's the bldg at your left. ask the guard there; they're very accomodating. you need to leave your ID and register at the guard past the elevator. they'll tell you what floor you have to go to. then, the guard at the HR dept will give you an application form and will show you the room where you have to fill it up. afterwards, just ask the guard on where you'll go next. hope this helps.:specs:

Hey diapersprinkles! thanks for that info. I already passed my application but not to the HR dept. at cathedral bldg but to the Dept. of clinical advancement. That's why I asked Tinx where she gave her papers.

Anyway, I guess I'll just have to submit again my application. just to make sure. Thanks again and good luck!
