In general about TCN materials: I used a few of their books for Excelsior tests and found them to be lacking. I would imagine the same would hold true for the ISU modules. However, I must say that I would agree with the statement that they would require specifics. If you can't give them specific shortcomings, then they won't know where to make changes. It seems that they should be getting all the test subject matter requirements from ISU directly. They should not be relying on second-hand info from students. I just don't find TCN to be a credible source for anything except an inflated contract.
The TCN Indiana State University challenge books are written specifically for the challenge tests by Indiana State nursing professors. They were not written for any other exams or college.
I think what has happened is this: over time, the questions changed. While the questions asked are valid if one took the course or read the full textbook--and they may be reflective of questions asked in ISU's regular brick and mortar nursing classes--somewhere something went wrong. Some of the questions were not covered in TCN ICU textbooks.
HAS ANYONE ELSE, WHO TOOK THE 4 ISU CHALLENGE CLASSES, found that some of the questions did not reflect the information in TCN's ISU challenge textbooks?
Indiana State U sets the challege test rules for the student and proctor. They tell the proctor that we cannot print, save or otherwise make a permanennt copy of the test. However, after the tests is submitted, it is returned with the score and gives all the questions with the corresponding correct question.

I passed all four of the ISU challenge exams. The odd thing was that I noted, in all four study modules for the ISU LVN->BSN challenge exams, that there were questions on the exam whose content was not covered in the TCN/ISU course material. Has anyone has a similar experience if you bought the TCN program for the challenge exams?
I discussed this problem with TCN and the fact that we are tested on info that is not covered in the challenge review courses; that those questions puts a testee at risk of failing the test, but I received a response that unless I could give them specifics of the questions not covered, TCN would not investigate or make changes. Given the fact that we cannot copy or print out the test, it is next to impossible to remember the questions.
For those of you who paid the $500 cost for each challenge exam prep books, did you find there were questions not covered in the TCN books?
