ISNAP DRUG TESTS

How many times has someone experienced back to back tests?

Creatinine was too long but test was negative. That's 2 abnormal tests. Statically speaking there is no way to not have any more in 3 years time.

I had a low creatinine on my second or third test, and now, 2 1/2 years later, I haven't had another one. I'm lucky that they never said a word about that creatinine level, I guess they were waiting to see if it'd happen again? I probably would've started obsessing over what I drink and how much, but I didn't know enough to do that, and I haven't had the problem since. I do always go in the morning, either right after I get off work from night shift, or on my off days, as soon as I wake up and can function. It's not always the first void of the day, sometimes I wake up and NEED to pee! And I can't possibly hold it long enough to dress and get to the lab. So those times I go ahead and pee at home, once, drink my usual 2 cups of coffee, do whatever around my house, then hit the lab when I start to feel like my bladder's is filling up again. So it's not first void every time but at most, second. Have not had a problem since.

Yeah I'm pretty much the same way recovering. I just want the test done so I do it first thing.

I received the "warning" after the first abnormal result but did get the email until AFTER my 2nd test which was the same. My case worker stated both were negative but diluted which I don't get. What does it matter if they are diluted but negative? It's ridiculous. No amount of swear words can be spoken to express my rage

The problem with dilute specimens is that it's possible (I assume) to dilute your urine so much that if you were using drugs or alcohol, you would be able to drop the concentration of those substances enough to be below their cutoff. So of course anyone with dilute urine, they're going to suspect you're using/drinking and trying to chug enough water to pass the test.

I do always go in the morning, either right after I get off work from night shift,

Funny now that I think on this, but "first thing in the morning" pee is generally considered more concentrated so that's why it's a good way to avoid a dilute specimen, BUT if it's AFTER my night shift, then that's just like someone else going to the lab last thing, after a full day at work! Hmmm, maybe your kidneys still know what time it is and concentrate your urine at that time of day anyway? I eat my "dinner" at around midnight and still sip water throughout my night shift, so "first thing in the morning" for me, technically, shouldn't work, but somehow it has!

Everything I have read about the type of test they use says you cannot dilute to trick the test. It's reading a liver enzyme produced by alcohol breakdown not actual alcohol content. It's just ridiculous because she TOLD me I am not coming up positive. So, wtf is the problem.

I imagine it would be a problem if you were tested for something that wasn't alcohol then. In my program, I know I get tested for everything under the sun because I have been tested for a variety of different options. Again, no clue what is actually in the options, but I'm assuming there are panels out there in lala land that test for alcohol plus other drugs, and just drugs with no alcohol.

I know when they test for my drug of choice because that is a standard blood test that I can look up online with the code they give me. On those days, I know exactly what they are testing for (remember, my DOC wasn't controlled). Every other test I have to give is a total crap shoot and they vary a lot for me, so I have no idea which ones have alcohol in them. Dilutes have to matter somehow for global testing accuracy or else dilute urine wouldn't matter.

But if they aren't giving you a hard time about it, it must not be pertinent to the test you took?

It's generalized. Dilute is not acceptable apparently for any reason. I can't, at present, see my results just whether or not it's normal, abnormal, positive, or negative. Like I said none of it really matters. Their rules.

I guess I win...I get 52 to 54 tests a year.

OMG..that is horrible! That is beyond imaginable! I am brand new to this but my RMA states 26/yr...counting my blessings! Hope you're close to done!

Sadly, no. I have 3 years and 7 months left.
