Is it worth getting an Adult-Gerontology NP degree?

Published

I was wondering if anybody has had this experience. I would like to work as an Adult/Gerontological NP in primary care, more precisely at an Internal Medicine clinic. Not sure if this specialty is worth pursuing. I do have an MSN, but I am not an NP. I will have to get a student loan, also. If anyone has also had a positive experience with a private student loan, I would love to know. Thank you in advance.

Primary care is one of the areas where NPs are needed most, depending upon your geographic area and the current need and availability. If you are interested in AGPNP there are many programs with that specialty track. I don't have private loan experience, but most schools have many resources to help you. Good luck!

JBMmom, thank you so much for your response to my post!
