When I have been fascinated with childbirth every since I got to see my sister give birth to her first child. That is something that I would like to do one day and care for the babies. So are these the same jobs;NICU/LD?
Thank you all. No I do not want to take care of critical babies. I do not think my nerves will allow it. I can not stand for any of my children to be sick, so I know that I would not be able to deal with a little one on the brink of death and God forbid if one die on me. I do want to do LD.
If you do L&D, you still have to participate in the births of these critical infants. Often times, the NICU will be present at the birth in case the baby needs to be resuscitated immediately but the L&D nurse certainly has a role in caring for this infant during the birthing process too.

Well I never said that I want to work in LD right out of school. I want to start out where I am using all my skill so that I can gain experience and perfect my kraft. I also want to work in surgery. I have had jobs before. I am the type of person that does like a challenge, yet I like to learn as much as I can so that I can be my best. I have common sense I know that it is not always peaches and creams. I have worked in a doctors office and know that some days can be very tiring. When I worked there some days I wished I was back in a hot dirty factory. So I am no stranger to hard work. I am pretty sure that the nurses that work in LD had to climb that ladder just like everyone else in other departments in the hospital. Not one nusrse go into a job knowing everything if that was the case there would be no need for nursing school and training.
