I recently got a RN job and want to review basic medications found in the crash cart.
Are there any websites out there that explains why they are used and how it works?

there's One drug in BLS - supplemental O2
all the others are ALS /ACLs depending on which side of the pond you are
BLS is the chain of survival stuff - early access, early CPR,- early Defib - early expert help

BLS cant give drugs, but they can get it out of the crash cart everyone at my hospital has to pass a test on were stuff is in the crash carts.
I used to stock crash carts when I was a Pharmacy Tech, and it included:
Epi
Atropine
Mag Chloride
Sodium Bi Carb
bac static water
250ml bag of NS
250ml bag D5W
Amiodarone
