The east valley hospital I work at is very slow. I got canceled often. I wonder if it is a valleywide problem. Would you like give some ideas what is going on? Snowbird not coming due to economy? or it just happens at my hospital? Thanks!
Is your hospital slow?

It could be. I wonder if there's any timely online information?

Phoenix Children's is hopping! Of course, it is RSV season. They are actually giving out ASI, we're that busy.

Hi cindyloowho,
I was following the thread when you were posting about waiting to be accepted to the GAPP Program at PCH!
I have been following PCH on facebook like a hawk waiting for the next posting for the program. I just graduated 12/11 and passed NCLEX but just missed getting an application in when PCH posted in November. By the time I heard about the posting, it was too late to apply (especially since they pulled the posting prior to the application deadline).
How are you enjoying the program and could you tell me a bit about it? I worked as a pediatric med asst prior to nursing school and luckily got to complete my preceptorship in the NICU at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea. I know I am limiting myself in this economy by only wanting a job in peds/NICU, but I can't see myself doing anything else. I truly love working with kids and babies!
BTW, the census was incredibly low in peds & NICU when I was at SHC in December. What is "ASI" that you said that PCH is giving out?
Sorry I went a bit off topic here, but remembered your screen name because it is so cute!
I spoke with a CNA from Mayo hospital last week. Says she's been very busy. Says cath pts are getting bumped to another floor to make room for heart surgery pts. On the other hand she says she floated to the ER for a day or so.
