Is TRU LPN to BSN Competitive???

Published

Has anyone out there gotten into the TRU LPN to BSN program in previous years? I am just about finished my pre-reqs and am REALLY curious what my chances are???? Would appreciate any info :) I sent off my application a few weeks ago.

Also, how did the BSN program feel after taking the LPN program? Which was insane by the way! Thanks!

What does 'TRU' stand for?

Specializes in GENERAL.

OP,

This TRU program sounds completely bogus. What marketeer came up with this hocus-pocus.

Wait don't tell me, it requires you to help yourself out by getting loaned up to the gunnels.

Go to (collegescorecard.ed.gov) and plug in some reputable programs at reputable schools.

Please! I beg of you!

TRU stands for Thompson Rivers University, a very reputable University here in British Columbia, Canada. I assure you, not bogus whatsoever.

It's a very competitive program to get into first year, but I am trying to bridge into second year, and was just fishing for some comments from previous LPN's who made it into second year.....such as; what was your GPA to get in, were there many LPN's trying for one empty seat, how many seats usually become available in second year, etc etc etc

Hoping there were some TRU trained nurses that could answer those questions

Many thanks!

You may want to post with the actual name of the school. There are so many acronyms posted it's hard to tell.

So did you get in? Do they make you start at the beginning of Year 2? What did you have to do to upgrade? Where did you take your LPN program?>=
