Is there such thing call "waiting list" in NP admission

Published

It seems like that Fall 2011 admission has been finilized in many schools so far. For those applicants who receive multiple offers, they will eventually reject some of their offers. I am just wondering how the schools are going to replace those slots? Do they send out a waiting list to certain number of applicans at the same time they send acceptance letters to the selected ones?

Yes, there are wait lists for many schools. That's why they want you to send in your confirmation as soon as possible so that someone else can take your spot if you do not want to attend. I gave up my spot at Ball State twice and attended another school.

Thank you MERCEDES674 for your reply. I was rejected by the school I applied, am hoping that they will send out a waiting list to me.

I'm sorry to hear that, WAVEWAVE. What school did you apply to?

Thanks Missvictoriat. I applied to TWU.

Did you apply to any other schools? I think they will notify you if you were placed on a wait list. You might want to go ahead and apply somewhere else before all of the deadlines are gone. Was your school online?

Yes apply elsewhere. The waitlisted people are usually notified when the first round Is notified. Sorry to disappoint you.
