I personally liked taking my a&p 1 during the summer because you get it over within a month n a half. It did take studying every night and basically memorizing the 30 pg packet for each body system from my professor but in the end I passed with a c which I was thrilled about. If your willing to give up just a month n a half to studying and getting it over with you should be fine. Go for it! I didn't think I could do it and I actually passed. Good luck!
It's definitely do-able, if you're able to absorb info and memorize quickly. I'm taking Anatomy this summer, since my previous credit was over 8 years ago and is considered "too old" for acceptance as a pre-req.
I would suggest you start looking at some online anatomy refreshers that are available online, so you have an idea of what you'll be getting into. That way, you can help gauge your comfort level with the material. University of Minnesota has a great online Anatomy self-test & timed quiz site....free!

I'm plan to take anatomy over the summer at a community college so that I can finish most of my preqs and I will have one preq pending when I send in my application. I want to apply to sfsu's nursing program, among others, in fall 2012.
See my other thread, "Should I take physiology before anatomy? & other dilemmas, help please. " for more background info.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
