Is there someone from former USSR countries who works in TX?

Hi everyone!

I really need to ask foreign educated nurses from former USSR( Russia, Ukraine or Belarus) who practice in TX about licensure by endorsement.

How was you experience?

How long it takes to obtain license in TX if I have RN license from NC state?

Did they ask you to send again some documents from your foreign nursing school?

If yes--what kind of documents?

I went thought CGFNS certification program---Do I need to do and pay 300$ for course- by- course report since my CGFNS certificate includes all my credentials and lisense validation as well?

You need to see if the BON will accept your CP if not then you will have to get CES done to meet TX requirements. Better to ask BON than here as they at the end of the day have the final say and BON's do change their requirements

I talked to TX bon representative today---they would accept my CP ONLY if it was less that 1 year since I got it. Well it is more than 1 year now. I guess--my nursing school in Belarus have to send some documents again...

I see you already new my idea, I would contact a local USSR community and ask who they use for health care.

Perhaps they can aid you in the process, my understanding is that you have an active US license, so I don't understand why you have to go to square one.

I wish I could explain it fast and easy. However, each state has different requirements. You have to pay, wait, pay and wait. It took me forever to get my permission for NCLEX. I am glad that NC bon granted me with such a permission because I met their requirements. Because of my speaking (OK thing) ---I canon endorse my NC license and work in OK.I am eligible for TX--but they need my license verification --sent directly from my nursing school again. CGFNS has everything--but it too old for TX bon.
