Apr 6, 2005 unless there is an emergency, the scrub and first assist are two different people........in dire cases, the scrub can and does assist. As L and D RN's, we do not scrub or assist in csections ----with the exception of ONE RN only who is trained and has done this for years. The rest of us simply circulate.

Twins, triplets, quads, it's still a single uterus.
