The safety of your license doesn't depend on the unit, it depends on your safe practice as a nurse.Lack of experience on a certain floor doesn't mean you can't follow safe practice guidelines. With proper orientation and support you should be perfectly safe.Just remember to ask, ask ask, when you are not sure about something.

Teaching safety is one thing but I find too many schools make it sound like the littlest error and you will lose your license. It has to be a pretty big blunder or a dangerous/illegal act to get it yanked.

I'm not understanding why you would be scared for your license based on the information you posted here. Presumably, you will have a comprehensive orientation if you start a new job.

No Orientation, The registry want to send me as already experiencing nurse and they said don't tell them that you're not experiencing so I don't feel comfortable!

It doesn't seem fair if they are going to tell them you are experienced. You should still be fine as long as you don't do anything you are unfamiliar with or uncomfortable with. Don't let them railroad you into doing something you haven't been properly trained to do.

You can't work on a floor on a volunteer basis.
