Is there really a difference between Pathogenic Microbiology and Microbiology?

Published

I have taken Pathogenic Microbiology at one college, but the nursing program I'm applying to requires Microbiology. My thinking is Pathogenic Microbiology is a more advance biology, but I may be wrong. Feedback please!!!

A pathogen means soemthing that can get you or something living very ill. Not all bacteria are bad, but this is the study of the ones that can get you or something living quite ill.

It isn't necessarily more advanced, but schools can have specific requirements and only want their particular class used.

Best bet is to spesak to them and have your other class evaluated by them.

They may or maynot give you credit for it.
