Is it possible to take Anatomy lab portion online?

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

I have already completed all of my pre-reqs at my CC EXCEPT Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology. So for these 3 remaining classes I just wanted to do it all online, both lecture & lab. I know that it is possible to do these courses online for the lectures part but I'm not sure is it possible to do the labs online too or not? So is there anyway I can take everything online without having to come to the real setting to do the labs and exams b'cuz I know I cannot travel that far without a car.

I'm planning to take Anatomy online this Fall, so please let me know whether I can take the lab online or not.

Also, is distance learning/online classes expensive compare to real campus?

23_30_126.gifThank you, thank you, thank you so much caliotter3. The link that you provided above is awesome, I visited their website and it have all the 3 courses (A, P, and Micro) that I needed. The best thing is that they let us do both lecture and lab online too, how wonderful and convenient can it be. Thanks again caliotter3 for being so nice for helping me throughout this searching. Very appreciate it for your big help.

As for the price I think I can handle that. I'm trying to call my college tomorrow to ask them if they take credits from this online school so I can start register for the course.

If the physician's assistant program at Samuel Merritt College accepts their courses, I don't see why your school would not. You might have to provide a copy of the syllabus. I would print one out and be ready to submit it to your school here in CA. Some people would say, just go ahead and take the course, then send the transcripts and do not tell them it is online. Some schools won't take online transfer credits for science lab courses, but they won't know unless you tell them. Something to think about.

Thank you for that info I'll let you know how it going after I talk to my school:)

I especially like that students can start whenever they want. That makes it well worth the price as far as I'm concerned. No wait lists, no disappointment semester after semester, when you can't get the classes you need. And you do the labs at home on your kitchen table.

Guess what caliotter3 I called my school Admission & Record and they can't answered my question. So I called the Nursing Department but no one answered the phone so I emailed them my question and hopefully I'll receive the answer from them soon.

If the admissions and records department can't answer the question, something is wrong. They are the ones who write the rulebook. Since the question is going to be left up to the discretion of the nursing department do not get surprised if the answer is no, due to "elitest" attitudes. They are going to ask you if the lab is in person. If you send the transcripts, there is no way to tell that you did not go to NJ to take the class! I have read of at least one person in SoCal whose nursing program is accepting courses from this school and there have been others.
