Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to get a tech job during the winter semester of one's last year? I know most of my classmates got theirs during the spring and started this fall. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Hospitals in my area will hire you as a PCT/aide if you're a student in an RN program and have completed your first Med-Surg clinical rotation.
Call around to hospitals and LTC facilities in your area and ask if they hire nursing students as aides.

I didn't get hired as an extern until my last semester of nursing school. I work at henry ford hospital and you would actually be applying for an externship, not a tech position. the pay is better but you are essentially doing the same job. i work in the ER and tech positions are filled by EMT trained personnel

I did, but I had been applying for a year before I was hired.
