I used picmonic during the beta and ended up buying. I wasn't sure if it would be worth it, but I get SO tired of studying for pharm and it's nice to have something that's actually kinda fun but still helps me study. I used a discount code on it and that made it a lot cheaper. I figure if it helps me on the NCLEX it's worth the money I spent, so fingers crossed! :)
I haven't used it for that long, but I definitely find myself thinking about some of the pictures when I'm reviewing. I get terrible test anxiety so I'm hoping it helps me there. The code I used is expired though I got it through an email though so maybe see if you have something from them?
Does anyone have a good nclex study plan for picmonic? It would help and be a lot less time consuming. Their plan is a joke it doesn't match up with the pathways they have and its not updated with all picmonics available and impossible to add and find the playlists. I wanna make sure I'm covereing the needed content but sometimes I feel that it is really not user friendly. Let me know if anyone can help I want to get organized before I take the nclex thanks!
I LOVE picmonic! I wish I would have found about it before I took the NACE LPN-RN bridge exam. I'm starting the LPN-RN bridge progam this fall and I subscribed to their RN course to get a head start on everything. I cost me around $42 from now until January, with the option to extend my subscription. Seriously, it is the only system I've found that helps me memorize lab values without torturing my brain. I love it, and it's actually fun to study. I highly recommend it.
I just tried Picmonic and honestly it's a great concept although it's a terrible way to study or memorize anything. The ECG course is so empty and barely has provides any information that would be useful in the field. Meanwhile the medication sections did not help me remember any meds. In my opinion it's better to put the meds into categories such as beta blockers, calcium channel blockers etc. and then Learn what they do.

Has anyone ever used Picmonic? Did you find it helpful? I did the free trial thing but I'm still torn as to whether or not I want to subscribe. I'm a second semester nursing student in a BSN program so we're taking pharm, research, and intro to nursing practice. Seems like it MIGHT be useful, but I'm still reluctant to spend money on it (you guys know how the whole college budget thing goes). So if you've ever used it before I would love to know if you thought it was worth the money. Thanks!
