Is there Math involved in AP I or II?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I was just wondering. I have just recovered from this semester of double-math classes, and wondering if I am going to get a break from it this summer.

Ok, I was sort of worried about it because I have heard where alot of schools want you to take Chemistry as an AP pre-req, so then I started thinking, "Oh jeez, please tell me it's not going to be like Chem".

I'm still traumatized from my Chem ordeal :)

Thanks everyone! I feel so much better!

in 101 we also had a chapter on chemistry but if you have taken chem already it will be easy, I was taking chem concurrently and we were doing the same work in my chem class so it was no big deal. Chem wasn't a pre req for AP so there were people in there struggling.

No math in A&P I and II.

Specializes in I spent 21 years in OB.

No you have a breather from math. (my worst nightmare in nursing) You will have a lot of memorizing.

a lot of memorizing

i found it helpful writing mnemonic devices or stupid sentences to help remember order or groups of something. for example, in a&p 1 we needed to know unpaired bones of the skull/head so i wrote a sentence about my cat:

oliver eats so much food & vomits

occipital

ethmoid

sphenoid

mandibular

frontal

vomer

i still remember it like that.

those types of things help greatly, so does taking pictures of the models and printing them out, labeling the back and then studying with them

good luck to you :)

Nope, no Math.
