Is grad school really this hard to get into?

Published

Greetings!

Soooo after Georgetown kept haunting me to apply, I ended up not getting accepted. Waiting on Univ of Cincinnati (online) acceptance. I never knew graduate school would be this hard to get into. I never had issues with applying to a school I wanted and getting accepted. Feeling down, and needing a little encouragement.

Hello All ~ Im having a hard time with recommendation letters. Im applying to a FNP program for fall. Ive had three previous supervisors retire and we've lost touch with them and a previous college professor pass away. Ive been out of the clinical area for 5 years doing case management. Would you use someone who isn't a nurse for a recommendation? My current boss is great but has a management degree, as well as the boss before her. Im stuck!

I mean use what you have, NP schools isn't that competitive so I am sure you would be accepted somewhere whether your manager is a nurse or not. I think they do prefer clinical references and obviously CM is not clinical but it's worth a shot.

Good luck
