Is my GPA to low for Darton College Nursing Program

Hello...I want to get into darton college nursing program in Albany, ga. My GPA is at a 2.7 right now. I still have Microbiology (I have to retake that), American government, U.S. History, and pharmacology to take. I just reapplied to the nursing program. All applications are due by September 15, 2010. The first time I took the HESI exam I made a 66% on it without studying. Does your Hesi score have to be really high to get in Darton college? What is the average score? I am retaking it on October 5th. Do anyone know the lowest hesi and GPA score darton has taken? I really want to get in this time around. And does anyone know what I can study for the HESi exam? Thanks!

Good luck to you also unlike you I'm more nervous than excited I take mine Monday 11th so I'm dedicating all of next week to studying for it.

I'm applying for the hybrid as well because I live in Atlanta. I did the essay for the program with my admissions application. The essay was to basically explain your experience with online learning and why you want to be a nurse. If you've been doing your classes online there then they have your transcripts and they will speak for themselves. If they sent you a date to test for the HESI then you might be okay. If you have an advisor in the nursing department then give her a call, she may have another route for you if they do really want it, but it was crazy to me as well because this particular track is the only one that requires the essay.

I am also applying for the hybrid track , I wanted to do the night track though becasue I'm getting tired of doing online.

If you live near there then thats cool to do sometimes I feel the same way about the online classes. I hear the night program has all the clinicals on the weekends. It seems to be okay, but that commute would be too much from where I am. It probably won't be a problem to switch to the night program because they'll end at the same time you know with graduation and all. Have you already taken your HESI?

No I take it on the 11th. I'm just so ready to get in the program the pre-reqs become a drag I'm just ready to get it and started.

No I have my physical education and microbiology left, I think I'm going to do something fun for that P.E. class. I think I'm pretty competetive, but now I'm getting scared. I've did some math problems from the study guide book, and I plan to brush up all of this upcoming week on everything. How long have you studied for the hesi? Have you finished all of your pre-reqs?

I been studying the book off and on but really in detail since Thursday... I think I am going to score really high on it tho. I still have micro, american government, and us history...

Hey I got a 75 I am so disappointed UGH! But I'm happy that I passed could've been worse...and she also let me turn in my essay
