Hey all,
So due to a sudden realization that I can avoid major restructuring to the selective admissions program at my college if I take a slightly heavier load next semester and also (probably) largely improve my chances of admission by applying for the Accelerated 2nd degree program at my school in June of 2011 rather than spring/summer of 2012 I've decided to take a leap of faith and go for it! So that leaves me with a load of Pharmacology for Nursing, Physiology and Microbiology in the spring semester. Mind you, I also have 2 kids and a house and the whole "adult" life to deal with. I work from home but that's minimal so that's not a huge ordeal but I'm just wondering if you all think this is feasible. Oh, and did I mention that I need to 4.0 them all? Well, I could get away with a 3.5 in Micro but I would be unhappy with that...
Thoughts? Prayers? Anything? I'll take 'em!

I'll be taking Anatomy and Physiology 2 along with micro and two other hopefully easy "basketweaving" classes this Spring. I'm a mother of two and have plenty of responsibilities. I need to make A's in both classes. I can certainly relate to your post but all I can really say to it is "Good Luck to us both". It will be really hard but with a little luck and a lot of support maybe we can do it.

I think you can do it too! Just keep focused on your task and take it a day at a time...
Thanks everyone :) It has hit me like a Mac truck, suddenly realizing that I could be starting the nursing program in September (if all goes well)! I am excited, nervous and a little bit crazed by the notion :) I will adjust in a few days it is just crazy to think about right now when all along I was thinking it would be at least another year before I could even apply!

I personally think it's overload, but then again it has been done and it's not for everyone. Only you know what you can handle, but be prepared to sell your soul to the school for the next semester if you want those A's!!
