Hi all! My husband and I are relocating to Florida from the northeast and I interviewed for a full time cardiac rehab RN position in the Tampa area and I was unsure if the offer they made me was fair. They offered me $28.75 per hour and I was just curious if this is a good rate. When I tried to negotiate I was told they felt right now that the offer is a good offer financially, and when considering the differences in markets of Tampa compared to the north east the rate does transfer fairly well I have my BSN with 6 years experience (2.5 years being in cardiac rehab.) If anyone could give me insight into this would be greatly appreciated and will help me with my decision process.
Thanks!!

That's really good for the area. Most hospitals go by a pay scale based on experience and speciality, leaving very little negotiating room.

Crap salary is one of the reason why I left FL.

I was offered 31.50 as ER nurse with 5 years ER experience and 1.5 years of Intermediate care experience. I thought that was low and I have my MSN. Didnt take the job. Happy about it but tried negotiating and was turned down completely. I was making 36.50 in Wisconsin.

I live south of Tampa in Sarasota and just started in new grad residency program on Cardiac unit at 27.00. I just moved out of Tampa.. Pay is a little less in Tampa but cost of living is cheaper than Sarasota
