I retook the NET test Friday. I got a 97 in math and a 67 in reading for a composite score of 82. Do you guys think that it's good enough to get in LPN school?

shord,
Every school has different requirements. Contact the LPN school you are considering and ask the following questions:
1- Does the school look at individual section scores or composite? What is the minimum score required to apply?
2- What is the average score of students who have been accepted into the program?
This information should help you determine how well/poorly you performed and whether your score is good enough for the program.
Good luck!

dark_light is right. The school should tell you what scores are acceptable for the program. Mine tells you immediately after taking it if you scored high enough. After that, you go straight to admissions and get your application packet or get placed on the mailing list to receive it. The packet is not given to you until you score high enough. Call the school tomorrow and see if they can tell you anything.
Thanks guys for the replies. You have to make a 42 in math and a 51 in reading at the school that I am applying to. I received an application package once I successfully completed the NET, but I don't believe that it means that I automatically get in. I have to have a lot of titers and 2 tb tests done which I completed yesterday. I have to go back in 10 days for the 2nd tb test. I completed a background check on line as well. I also have to write an essay. At the top of the page that I write my essay on it says Interview Essay. I thought that we had to be interviewed but am now wondering if the essay takes the place of the interview. I really hope that I get in because I've spent alot of money for just the application process. It's well worth it if I get in though. I'm really nervous. I want to be a nurse so bad.

i highly doubt it. usually you have to make in the mid to upper 90's to get in. you might become an alternate tho..
Gardenparty, when you say you scored in the upper 90s are you talking about your composite score or your composite percentile? My percentile ranking is not listed on my test results that I received. How do I find out what my percentile ranking is?
Oh, yeah, then the scores are high enough for your school, but you are right, that doesn't mean you are in. You have to complete the application and then the slots are filled up however you college does it. At ours, it goes by test scores (NET and entrance scores for the college), references, current GPA (if you have one), and all of that. Just do everything the application says to do and get it in and hope for the best. Good luck!
well from what i've read on here, i guess it goes by a school to school basis. my school goes by the test scores ONLY. the top 27 people get in. im not sure how you can find your percentile because it was just listed on my paper. if your school goes by things other than the test grades, then its very possible for you to get in. good luck
I contacted the school that I'm planning to attend (TN Tech) and was told that if my composite score is the 80s that I shouldn't have a problem as long as my references and everything are ok. She wasn't able to tell me what my composite percentile is though.
dude i go to TN tech in clarksville. where is yours located?

I also attend a TTC LPN program. Although each center is similar, there are differences. I understand that our fall program extended invitations for interviews to candidates that scored a composite score of 70 or above. A numeric score was then assigned to the interview and added to the composite score. Candidates were then ordered by overall score and were extended acceptance letters going down the list until all availble slots were filled. Best of luck! I remember how nervous I was until I recieved my acceptance letter. While only a few weeks, seemed like an eternity!
