My main interest: geriatrics.
My most hated: anything to do with nerves or cancer.
So along comes Murphey:
First clinical rotation: Neuroseurgery. (my friends responded with "ohhh like doctor Sheppard!"- I was like, uh..no.)
Second clinical: Oncology
Is there anyone else who seems to be drawing the short straw when it comes to clinicals? Misery loves company!

The most important things you'll be learning at this point will apply pretty much regardless of where you actually end up working. Just take each area for what you have to learn from it!

At least you're getting some interesting experience! I've been stuck in the nursing home most of this semester - I know your interest is geriatrics but nursing homes are just BORING. I like geriatrics on the med/surg floor, just not nursing homes - nothing really goes on.

You want to go into geriatrics but don't like oncology? A pretty significant portion of the older population has/will get/is in danger of lots of types of cancers. That's like wanting to be in peds, but not liking temperature regulation...

YES! I always get Saturday clinicals... and I HATE that. There are tons during the week and I always seem to get placed in the ONE group who has the weekend site. BOO!
