I'm looking to apply for ABSN programs in the fall. I have all of my pre-reqs finished except A&P. By the time applications are due in Jan/Feb, I will be enrolled in A&P1, but am wondering if they will even take my application seriously? I would easily have both semesters finished by the fall (taking A&P 2 in the summer), but would a school even consider me?

I think it will depend on the school. At my local university, they require (I think) 2 or 3 of the 4 required science classes to be complete. You should check with the individual school but the worst they can say is wait until you've completed A&P.
It's weird, I don't really see any notes about requiring a certain amount by the time of applying. But some of the schools only require Microbio and A&P for science pre-reqs, so not having it would be over half of the pre-reqs 'not completed.' I can only imagine they would hold that against me, unfortunately.

I got in without it.
How many pre-reqs did you have completed already? How many left?
Ted, I had a LOT of general education credits. I was already close to a bachelor's in liberal arts. I didn't even know I needed pre-reqs - I just applied.
I HAD taken biology, stats, college algebra. They didn't accept my biology.
Once in I had to take bio, micro, psych, dev. psych, and A&P.

Ah, so you went the traditional 4 year route?
No, it was a 1 - program. Year one, LPN, year 2, RN. I got into the second year but opted out and finished via Excelsior online. I'm going for a BSN now.

I would pose this question to an academic advisor at the school(s) you are interested in attending, then act according to the answers you receive. Good luck.
