Is anyone waiting to hear from Chemeketa?

I am anxiously awaiting my final scores for the application process. The wait is downright painful! Anyone else waiting to hear from them??

The assistant dean (also the person emailing regarding scores) is the one who replied to my email asking how many applicants there were. That is the only information he gave me when I asked, but I was certainly thrilled to hear it.

Nice job! I got 50/50 with a total of 363.375 but I mailed my deposit to OHSU today to hold my place there. Just an FYI I have a friend who got in with a total at 360 two years ago, I am not sure if it is the same point system or where she ranked amongst others who where accepted but its something to compare :) GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

360 is the top score, unless you have 5 alternate points. Good luck to everyone!

Kvedaa; you must have been an alternate last year? You are likely guaranteed to get in. Would you prefer OHSU or Chemeketa?

That would explain why she got in! I only had 345 something last year and was an alternate along with what seemed like 100 other people!

Yes I was an alternate last year! I don't think I could go wrong with either but I decided on OHSU today just to avoid the RN-BSN process in a few years and I also was awarded enough scholarship/grant money to take that part of the decisions out of the equation . I have extended family and a couple friends who are alumni of different OHSU programs so I kind of want to carry on the tradition as well, I am going to be attending the Monmouth campus so hopefully I will get to meet some of the Chemketa students in clinical!

I got 50/50 on my essay and total application score was 298.75. Probably won't get in this year d/t a few of my grades. Gives me next year to try again!

That's great about the financial side of things for OHSU. One of my co-workers will also be starting at the Monmouth campus this year. My essay was 50/50 with total points of 360. Crossing my fingers that will get me an acceptance.
