I am going to be starting Nursing school in August at LMU, at the St.Mary's site. Just wanted to see if there was anyone else out there as well.
Awesome! There are some people on here that go to LMU, lol. I go to the Harrogate branch, and I am liking it pretty well. I am starting nursing school in August. Is anyone else studying their Henke's book and trying to cram those 10 chapters in over summer? lol I'm really glad that they are putting a CRNA & PA program in at the Harrogate branch. Very exciting.
I am thrilled to hear from someone at LMU. I am actually a LPN and have 16 years medical experience behind me as well. I have a degree in Histotechnology, nursing and medical transcription. I am hoping this will help me out. I am wondering how the schedules work at the satellite bases. I realize you are not at Alcoa, but it would give us all some insight as to what we are getting into. I am worried about my math skills because I do not like math and math does not like me. I made an 80% in Pharmacology and hated the class. Not the meds, but the actual math involved. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks so much!!!
I have really been wanting to talk with you regarding LMU. I did purchase the math/med book and will be working on this during the summer. In LPN school we actually used the Pickar manual which was also a med/math book that showed us how to do dosage, calibration, ratio/proportion, etc. Is the math in the Henke's book pretty much the same and what edition are you guys using? I would really love to talk with you and get the inside information....
