Is anyone currently in nursing school

Hello Everyone

Is anyone currently in nursing school and if so what nursing school do you go to? I am looking for a good school one that I can attend and still work. I have already completed most of the classes needed. Next semester I take micro, engl 102, and humanities course. I have applied to abington but didnt do to well on the test so i feel like i wont be accepted there because of my score and its a hard program to get into. So if any nursing students have any advice or info on the school their attending and would like to share it. It will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.:typing

There are many nursing students from all over the world that use these forums - I am one of them.

Check out the forums under the "students" tab. As an aside, working during NS is mighty, mighty, tough.

I agree that it is very difficult to work while keeping up in nursing school. Do you plan on working full time or part time? Anyway, I attend school in Ohio at the University of Cincinnati..its a BSN program and its tough to get into as well. They only take around 130 students every year and they get 450+ applications a year. Usually the safe gpa that will make you a shoe in to get in the program needs to be around a 3.6 or so in your prereq courses. But good luck finding a school..make sure its a good one!

While I agree that it is hard to go to school and work, it is NOT impossible. Do the grades suffer a little? sure. CCs are usually a good route if you just want to get into the field....BSNs for advancement, etc...

I would look into programs in your area....and know that you may need to change jobs based on how often you have to go to school

Thanks everyone for your comments and advice:wink2:
