Hi eveyone,
I am a old pro to this all nurses thing. I recently was accepted to Lynchburg Colleges
Accelerated nursing program. I applied and didn't get into VCU's AMSN program. So this is my backup, and it worked out so.... I was wondering if there was anyone else out there waiting to start.
Looking forward to chatting.

Hello all, quick question. I applied to the program, but due to the fact I'm presently not in the country, I can't see my mails now. I login in to check my application, only for me to see an option to pay for $300 deposit. Please does that mean I have been accepted to the program???
I would call the school asap. 90% of the time it does and that's to save your seat and you accept the offer.
Hello I'm glad to answer your questions. I am a senior at lynchburg college of nursing, and a second degree student. It has been a wonderful learning experience and most importantly, they faculties are all willing to help when you ask for it, they really want you to succeed, pass your nclex, and be a successful nurse. They take pride in that. Being a second degree student, you spend two years and the total cost roughly is about 25-30k for the entire program. Cost of living is not bad, I pay $400 a month for a two bathroom, two and half bathroom(i have a roomie that pays the other 400). So far is a nice quiet area to live in, I like it but still prefer Orlando FL to it cause I moved from there. So far so good, I love LC. If you are willing to work hard for your BSN degree, then LC college of nursing is for you. Goodluck on whatever decision you make.
Hi! Congrats on being almost done! Thank you for answering my questions! I'm so happy that the price is still 25 to 30k even for out of state students. I guess that's what worried me most. From expert opinion what would you say might be a competitive admissions gpa ? Cost of living seems okay 800 is definitely reasonable while on school. I'm happy you're enjoying the program it seems like a great place!

Thank you. My GPA from my first degree was around 3.3 and a little higher for science portion. But there were some people with 3.0 GPAS that got in the second degree program. I will suggest having a GPA of 3.3 and above and a very strong science GPA too. Will you be a second degree student?

I think it's around $27k for the two years.
