Hi eveyone,

I am a old pro to this all nurses thing. I recently was accepted to Lynchburg Colleges

Accelerated nursing program. I applied and didn't get into VCU's AMSN program. So this is my backup, and it worked out so.... I was wondering if there was anyone else out there waiting to start.

Looking forward to chatting.

Hello! I am considering applying to the accelerated program at LC for summer 2017 start. I am hoping to turn in my application in the next couple of weeks. Does the program still use NursingCAS for applications? On the application steps page for second degree seeking students, there is no mention of NursingCAS, but under the FAQ's on the nursing page it says students are to apply to LC as well as submit an application through NursingCAS.

Just found out this past Thursday I was accepted to LC's nursing program to start in May 2017!! I applied to five other nursing programs but LC is one of my top choices. The other schools I will not hear from until March so I went ahead and put down my enrollment deposit at LC to reserve my seat. I'm so excited to attend!! :) Any advice from current students? How was your first year? How are the relationships among classmates? I've heard the class is typically only around 23 students who I assume everyone will grow close pretty quickly. I am a second degree student; my first degree is in biology... it was in the past year that I decided I wanted to pursue nursing. What is Lynchburg like? Is it more of a college town? I am very excited to attend a smaller college. I got my first degree from a larger university.

Hello, I wanted to know if anyone who had graduated from Lynchburg could give me more information on going back to their home state to take the NCLEX? I will possibly be attending Lynchburg beginning in May (still waiting to hear back from other schools), but I am considering taking the NCLEX in NC (my home state). I have done some research on the NCBON website and saw that NCBON just requires that students who went to an out of state program have a transcript sent to them directly from that nursing program. I couldn't find if I would need to take any additional classes while in the program. Any help from someone who has been in this situation would be greatly appreciated :)
