IRSC Spring 2017 Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone,

I plan on applying to IRSC's Nursing program for Spring 2017, and thought I would create this thread for us to talk about the application process! I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to study for the NLN? I keep seeing that they're updating the exam on IRSC's website, so I'm not sure if I should use the current study materials? Also has anyone had troubles figuring out transfer credits? I will have a BS from FSU and the courses that I've taken for A&P and Microbio have different course codes than the ones IRSC offers.

Good luck to everyone who plans on applying! Hopefully this thread can be as helpful as the last few semesters' threads have been.

Did anyone get an email thanking them for attending the nursing info session? I was reading past forums and saw something about that, but I never got anything. I believe I went to the one in July.

No as long as you filled out the card during the session thats all they need.

Lets help eachother get to know the pool of applicants so far this year. How have you guys been studying and how often? How many points do you guys have yet so far for your grades... Also what is your GPA?

Hey, Glittershot! I guess I'll start since I found past threads of that info super helpful. I try and study everyday for a couple of hours at least. Doing practice questions and reading the red NLN book. I have As in both pre-reqs and labs so I guess I have 32 points so far, just nervous for the NLN. With transfer credits from my Bachelor degrees, my GPA is 3.66.

Your thread has been moved to the Nursing Schools / Colleges forum where the other school specific discussions are. We hope you will receive additional responses in this new location.

Hi everyone! New to this forum but I am applying for Spring 2017! I am taking my NLN on Sept 6th at 9am. My current GPA is 3.65 and I have 30 points. I have been using the red NLN book and the CD that comes with it to study. I am a little nervous since we will be the first applicants to take the new exam but I'm also grateful because we get calculators! LOL. Good luck to everyone and I would love to hear feedback after everyone has tested....I will post my feedback and my score as well.
