Hi! I thought I'd start this thread for anyone applying for the Spring 2018 IRSC ADN Nursing class! This is my second time applying to the program. The last time I applied, I had a total score of 156 and received an alternate letter. I followed all of the requirements as if I was accepted, but I was never pulled up. This time around I have a total score of 166 including my class credits. How did everyone do on their NLN?

Thanks for making the thread, I have a total of 157 points. Today 9/26 I believe was the last day to test for the NLN.

Hi, I have a total of 164 points. I took the NLN for the first time Monday 9/25/2017. Do you guys know if we have to wait the 6 weeks to know if we're in? I'm hoping it's less. Good luck to everyone!
Awesome, thank you I hope you get in!

Hi all!
I was wondering if a thread would pop up here for the spring 2018 hopefuls. I found the threads for the 2017 spring/fall classes after I took my NLN on the 22nd. I'm sitting at a 181 total (153 NLN), so I'm optomistic but trying really hard to keep it to that. We shouln't have long to wait; the last couple of classes have gotten notification about 4 weeks after application deadline which would be next week. How is everyone feeling?
Murse, don't worry. You're almost guaranteed! It's in the bag!
I'm a little nervous. My friend got in with a 175. But I don't know...

Hi everyone!! I got a 150 on the NLN and 32 class credits. I am wondering how it is going to work this time around due to the LPN's having to have a minimum of 3.0 instead of a 2.5. I wonder if that leaves more spots open for those of us who have not had done the LPN @ IRSC. Considering there were 40 LPN's in Nurse 1 for the fall and that left only 30 for people who did not have an LPN license.

Great job Valerie! You're up there too. I can't find anything on the program web site, but I believe that starting with this class LPNs do not get preference. Can't say I understand their logic but if it opens up more spots for the rest of us I won't complain.
You are absolutely correct. They no longer get preference they are all included with all those who worked their behinds off just as much to get into the program. See you in Nurse 1!! :)

Hi everyone! I took my test last week and my total score is 165. Just based on previous applications it looks like anyone with a 160 or above gets in, but that is based on the average score. The letters are usually sent out 2-4 weeks after the last test date, depending on how many applicants they received. Good luck to all of you!
