Is an interview invitation pretty much an acceptance? My letter states that interviews will be going on until the 27th. That's 15 days. So assuming that there are over 300 applicants, do you really think they're going to be interviewing that many applicants in 2 weeks? or just the ones they want to accept?
Also what kind of questions do they ask during the interview?
THANKS

They may be interviewing only eligible applicants, or the top percentage, from which they'll narrow down their choices to the list that will be offered seats. Your interview may be the deciding factor in your application or may be just a formality, depending on your school and its practices.

No, an interview is never a guarantee of acceptence. It's just like when you interview for a job. It's not just you're guaranteed the job because they called you for an interview-- what would be the point of interviewing you?
The interview for nursing school is essentially you pleading your case that they should accept you into their program.

I am in the same boat. I received the same letter and when I looked at your other post, I see that it is for the same school. I never expected such a quick response and then the interview process is moving quickly.
I tried to send you a private message, but I do not have enough post yet. I should be able to share more information by the end of the week.
Good luck!
They probably reviewed the applications while they were coming in..? I don't think they would waste their time interviewing all 200+ applicants. Either they want to interview you or they don't. Is your interview this week?
Let me know what questions they ask.. Good Luck to you too!
The questions were pretty standard, like ,why do you want to be a nurse? Do you have a support system? Tell me about yourself?
It was more of a getting to know you type of interview. They didn't have my information in front of them and didn't seem to focus on grades or TEAS. I think they are just checking to make sure you are professional and have realistic expectations of nursing school. At least that was the vibe I got.
Was there a lot of students interviewing? How long did the interview last? Did they say anything at the end..?
They were one on one interviews. I think in total, it lasted about 30 minutes. They said not to expect a response until after all of the interviews are done and that isn't until the end of the month.
Did you have your interview? How did it go?
It went well. It was just basic questions, and it lasted like 15 min. She said that there are 95 eligible applicants they're interviewing. & like you said, it seemed like they just wanted to get know you & see who you are. I think an interview is a good sign though.. I'm guessing we won't get a letter until early March.
Have you taken most of the liberal arts courses?
I have taken most of my liberal arts, if they transfer. They are from another state and I don't know if they will transfer. I am taking A&P I now and II in the summer.
Any idea how many they will be accepting of those 95?
