How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.
I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Hi all :-)
I'm BJ. 23/m. Single (gf for 1.5yrs)/no kids (yet).
2 year electronics degree. been to 8 countries and about a dozen US cities working for the gov since I was 20. Pretty much maxed out where I'm gonna go with my electronics degree and am unsatisfied with the type of work (travel was nice but it's old and gets lonely) and definately do not want to go back to school for electronics.
Raised by nurses. Don't know my father. I love to be around kids and kidsluvme too :-) I would really really really love to work in peds in the not-so-distant future and hopefully work at the Children's Hostpital in Pittsburgh PA (my great grandmother was a volunteer there and used to make crafts with the kids when I was growing up). Everyone I know says that I am inspirational/positive influence and I would like to give hope and inspiration to kids that need/could use it.
I don't really rely on a social life for much of anything and I LOVE to work hard. I am greatful for the blessings that God has given me and I just want to give back in any way I can.
I am so glad that I found this site and I really enjoy reading ALL of the things that everyone posts. I think that nurses are an outstanding group of people and deserve everyones gratitude and respect. I look forward to hearing from all of you and I can't wait until I can count myself as your fellow nurse.
Sincerely,
BJ
