I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

I am Jenny age 30 wife of 1 mom of 3, ages: 9, 6, and 3. I am currently waiting to be accepted into the local ADN program. I am also actively studying for the pre entrance exam which I will take on Jan 13, 2003.

My goal is to obtain my RN Degree so I can work in the NICU.

My name is Kiffany but everyone calls me "Baby Girl". I am twenty one years old. I have no kids and I don't plan on having any. I am currently a pre-nursing student at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio but I have plans of leaving Sinclair and doing a LPN program because the wait here is too long. My goal is to be a Nurse Anestheist.

Well, I'm pretty new to this. My name is Tim, 21, 2nd year ADN student at Southern Arkansas University. I'm in Med/surg this semester and should graduate in May 2003. I have no kids, no wife, and I'll probably keep it that way for a while. I'm too young for that right now. I'm just a single young guy just trying to have a good time! Once out of school I plan to go far from where I am now. And hopefully, after a year of med/surg, plan to become a travel nurse. Good luck to all of you!! --Tim

Hi everyone! I am Christy a 28 year old mother of two who's statring prereqs this january to do the LPN program and then onto my ADN. I work full time third shift at a local hospital as a CNA now and have been married for almost 10years (febuary). My sons are 8 and 4 and a handful the oldest has a Ring Chromosome disorder and is the sole inspiration for me deciding to go into the nursing profession. Well, my name is Katie, I'm 19 and from sunny England! Just in my second year @ university doing a BA (bachelor of arts) honours degree up in Liverpool. I'm due to qualify in Jan 2005, after starting in Sept 2001. I'm in a long term relationship with no children as of yet!

Anyway, I was wondering if someone could explain all these abbreviations to me? I know we nurses use them a lot, but I'm not used to these american ones :)

LPN? BSN? I'm guessing they are nursing courses?
