I wanted to know anyones experience who took intro to A&P before they went into A&P 1. Did it prepare you and make you feel more confident going into A&P 1? Also, I want to hear from the people who went straight into A&P 1 and if its not as bad as people say it is. I'm in biology right now making an A and im trying to decide if i should take intro this summer before i take A&P in the fall. :)
Thanks for any responses!!!

Hey there. My school did not offer an Intro to A&P, so I just went straight into it (although I did take biology first). I think it was a great class. Very information-heavy, but frankly, nursing school is A&P on steroids. I think you'll be fine without it. Best of luck!

I wouldn't bother with that. If you don't have prior medical experience, I would recommend taking Medical Terminology beforehand, or concurrently. A&P isn't bad. It is just a ton of memorization.

I took intro to a&p, and I tried to get an A, it was a struggle for me, but when I took a&p 1 and 2, twas so easy for me cos the intro prepared me...I had less memorization to do cos I did 80% of them in intro.

We don't have that class, but I had take. Biology and Chem plus both of their labs in the semester before I took A&P and I feel like that prepared me quite well for it. I'm in class with a few girls who had no background in biology and went straight into A&P. Some dropped and some are moving right along. Itnreally depends on how you study/how much time you're willing to give the class.
