It is fairly common and only becomes a problem if either is strangulating the other. I would agree with the doc and only worry if she starts to have problems. It most likely wont show up as any problem with the bowl or cause any problems with fertility. The most common problem would be painful intercourse or menstruation which will usually only show up if the ovary is pushed down into the lower pelvic cavities and gets squished.

Has anyone ever heard of someones intestine being wrapped around their ovary? And if so is this normal? I have a friend that had a pelvic ultrasound that revealed this and the Dr. told her that there was nothing to worry about.
