Just got a call for an interview at the VA for an ICU position in two days. So this is kind of last minute, but hoping to get a response. I haven't been on an interview in a long time, but assuming (as a male) to just wear khakis/nice shirt? Do I need a tie?

I think a suit is a bit much. I don't ever remember an interviewee coming in a coat and tie.

But see? You'd remember that guy. lol :D

I have seen several people interview with jacket & tie. Almost everyone was offered a job. I wore one to a interview once and was offered a position but turned it down. As Pixie stated you are remembered when you dress for the position.

I went with Khaki dress pants, and a nice shirt. Made sure my hair was trimmed, and had an overall very clean cut appearance. For an RN job, I'm not sure a full suit and tie would be necessary.
